From September 2019 to July 2020, 32 young adults will move to Pittsburgh to join PULSE. As you know, PULSE cultivates a community of young servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh.
While in PULSE, our fellows serve (SERVE) 35-hours a week at a Pittsburgh nonprofit organization, live (LIVE) in intentional community with one another in Pittsburgh neighborhoods, and grow (GROW) through ongoing training and development to deepen their skills as a serving leader. SERVE. LIVE. GROW.
Over the last 25 years, over 350 young adults have partnered with over 175 Pittsburgh nonprofits, contributing some 500,000 hours of service to the city and its residents. PULSE fellows have started community centers, community gardens, bike co-ops, and have beautified spaces in Pittsburgh. They learn the value of living simply in community with each other and their neighbors. They have made significant contributions to expanding the capacity of the nonprofit sector in Pittsburgh.
Each PULSE fellow is working to raise $2,500 to assist with their housing, food, transportation, and education while in the PULSE program. As a group, they hope to raise $80,000 together. Please join us in this important work!
