“You're not scary. Not even a little bit; but you are fearless” A dedicated group of students, some directly impacted by cancer, found an opportunity to give to others. Team Teddy of WI at Pulaski Community Middle School (a nonprofit organization consisting of middle school students that help bring joy to sick kids through making stuffed animals) had an opportunity to “team” with the American Cancer Society’s Wagon Warriors. The students brainstormed to make the wagon gender neutral with the Monsters University theme. These students figured out dimensions for their vision and made sure to make it to scale. Each student volunteered their time and talent to make this project come together. In the end, each of them put in this effort to give to someone more deserving than themselves. These students took the opportunity to be selfless and pay it forward to deserving kids affected by cancer. Together we can “scare” away cancer and roll forward to a successful, bright future for kids affected with cancer.
