As a member of The New York Foundling Junior Board I have the opportunity to advocate for the charity’s impactful work. The Head Start and Early Head Start programs have 42 locations in Puerto Rico and more than 400 employees. The programs are in need for donations to care for the children they serve. The Foundling in Puerto Rico serves nearly 1,500 children. Their goal is to increase social and education competence of the young children and low income families in the most impoverished communities of the island. Services are child centered and developmentally age appropriate for children from birth to five years of age. They provide education and daily meals for the children. In addition, as part of Puerto Rico Head Start Program, the Mortimer Harrison Foundation serves adolescents whose parents have passed away or are afflicted by AIDS/HIV. Please consider giving a donation. All proceeds will go towards this charity and its efforts to rebuild and reopen the centers severely damaged by hurricanes Irma and Maria.
Every gift, regardless of the size is appreciated and makes a DIFFERENCE!
