Breanna and Brooke Bennett started Women in Training (WIT) on their 12th birthday to alleviate #periodpoverty among homeless girls, and young women and nonbinary youth living in foster care facilities and public housing projects.
Impoverished girls, young women, and nonbinary youth are requesting #WITKITS of free period products and hygiene items now more than ever because of shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our volunteers cannot effectively fundraise at this time, because many of them are frontline essential workers: Healthcare professionals, educators, journalists , and social service workers who are still on the job around-the-clock.
We need YOUR help to provide monthly supplies of sanitary pads, safety masks, soap, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, panties, socks, and wash cloths, to homeless girls, young women, and nonbinary youth living in the foster care system and public housing.
Any amount helps. GoFundMe is matching donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000.
