Make Sure Every Veteran Has Acess to
As the 2018 year comes to a close, and we reflect on the incredible progress our organization has accomplished, we want to acknowledge your unbelievable support. Without donors like yourself, we couldn't continue to provide services to our Country's Veterans.
HELP US REACH OUR $100,000 GOAL BY JANUARY
We considered regaling you with stories about how we've improved our Surf Therapy Services, and about how we've served over 400 Veterans since 2015. We even thought about sharing the details of the research program we're participating in, which will provide concrete proof that Surf Therapy is effective. As important as these items are, and as much as they are integral to the continued success of our organization, they pale in comparison to the importance of the individual experiences had by Veterans.
Our organization is growing rapidly, and the demand for Surf Therapy Services exceeds our current capacity. When the majority of our Veterans' experiences read like this one, it breaks our hearts to turn any Veteran away. Our goal is to be able to serve every Veteran who reaches out to our organization and do away with waitlists.
"Surfing impacted my life in so many positive ways. It gave me a community of brothers and sisters I will have for life. It helped me find purpose in life again giving me a reason to get out of bed every morning. It gave me the feeling accomplishment with every wave I am able to catch but also taught me how to humble myself for the waves I couldn't [catch] but not to give up. I truthfully believe surfing and the Warrior Surf family saved my life."
ENSURE EVERY VETERAN CAN RECEIVE SURF THERAPY
The Warrior Surf Foundation strives to empower Veterans through Wellness Coaching, experiential activities, resiliency and community. Those are fancy words that translate to these simple facts; We give Veterans the skills to adapt to life after the military, create realistically achievable goal planning, alter their perspective to view life as important, worthwhile and enjoyable, and learn to become present and focused and in the moment so they can become successful contributors to society off the battlefield.
Every Veteran we've ever met joined the military with a sense of empowerment. They joined with a knowing that they were strong, capable and able-bodied. Will you help us to give our Veterans every possible opportunity to remember that they are all of those things and more?
