Provide One Year of Clean Water and Healthy Snacks to all Down The Line and Beyond Outreach Programs
Down The Line serves up healthy habits through the sport of tennis to almost 1900 children at 17 locations in the city of Philadelphia. At these locations, including in public parks and schools, none have a budget for water and healthy snacks for their players. We are asking for $2500 to cover half of the $5000 needed to provide every child in our programs water and healthy snacks. Every dollar given will be matched to fund our nutrition program through 2018. These locations include Bodine High School, Philadelphia Tennis Club, Steele School, St. James School, Belmont Middle School, Bridesburg Recreation Center, Poplar Park, Gesu School just to name a few.
About Down The Line:
Down the Line and Beyond (DTLB) is a United States Tennis Organization (USTA) affiliated National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation that organizes free tennis, education and character development programs for 1900 children in underserved parks and communities within the city of Philadelphia. Our mission is to facilitate positive character and education development for Philadelphia area youth through the sport of tennis, in order to maximize each child’s full potential on and off the court and promote a community around the sport.
