Global Conservation Force is dedicated to saving wildlife from extinction through education, anti-poaching, and conservation efforts.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic only being a few months old, poaching incidents in Africa have already started to increase. This is alarming news for those who work to protect rhinos, pangolins, elephants, giraffes, and other endangered animals. Protecting endangered species is a complex endeavor that requires defensive strategies on the best of days. That job is now exponentially harder with the majority of the globe in isolation due to the pandemic. Wildlife trafficking investigations have been put on hold. Anti-poaching units (APUs) are running at minimum capacity because the gear, training, and other resources they depend on aren't being provided.
Anti-poaching units (APUs) hold the shield for Africa's and Asia's wildlife, buying time for action in international laws, local policy change, and political stability. A primary focus of Global Conservation Force (GCF) is to provide APUs with the necessary gear, technology, and advanced training to do their jobs efficiently and effectively.
Large annual events that account for nearly 70% of GCF's conservation activity funding have been canceled. Grant funding has been frozen until further notice. Our ability to support crucial wildlife protection efforts is in jeopardy.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting our dedicated rangers. Your gift will help provide immediate financial support so GCF can purchase essential gear and other supplies the APUs need to successfully remain on patrol. Help protect endangered species so they are enjoyed for generations to come.
