ProstAware is a Georgia based non-profit organization that engages men and their loved ones into meaningful conversations about prostate cancer education and awareness. Prostate cancer will effect 1 in 7 men in their lifetime. Every 20 minutes, a man we love dies from prostate cancer. When caught and treated in the early stages, the survival rate is 99%. If it is caught in the later stages, like many men are prone to, the survival rate plummets to 28%.
ProstAware is blessed to have 5 runners who will be participating in the New York City Marathon on November 3...all with a story of how prostate cancer has affected their lives. Paul Brown, Linda Brown, Mark Schanck, Gerry Scheinman and Bethany Diamond are all training tirelessly for the NYC Marathon to get the word out and tell their stories so that other men and their loved ones can be informed about prostate cancer.
ProstAware is changing the dialogue about prostate cancer. We invite you to hear our stories and join the conversation.
Please help us in our mission and support our runners by donating to ProstAware on our CrowdRise pages.
Together, we can make a difference and save lives.
