Some of you may know, the summer of 2017 my family was shaken by the sudden passing of my Uncle John. On July 11, 2017 my uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. After 20 short days his fight ended, leaving our hearts heavy and numb. Even though it has been over two years our family still does not feel whole. The most affected and heartbroken still are my aunt and cousins. They have shown tremendous amounts of strength during their healing process. Whenever I needed someone to lean on , I know I can count on them. This is why I will be running the 2020 Chicago Marathon and fundraising for Project Purple. Project Purple has a mission of a world without pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer will become the #2 killer of all major cancers in the USA by 2020. My wish is one day no family will have to feel the pain we have endured. Please help me reach my goal for a world without pancreatic cancer. Thank you!
