2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Project Purple is an impact-driven organization with a vision of a world without pancreatic cancer. Their mission is to find a cure for pancreatic cancer and improve the lives of patients through support, hope, and compassion.
Pancreatic cancer will become the #2 killer of all major cancers in the USA by 2020 and we need your help to fund more research and help more families fighting.
*Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate among all major cancers.
*In nearly every country, pancreatic cancer is the only major cancer with a single-digit five-year survival rate (approximately 6%).
*Every day, more than 1,257 people worldwide will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and an estimated 1,184 will die from the disease.
My Sole Sister, Laura, and I both signed up for the lottery for the Chicago Marathon. When she got in and I didn't, we discovered I had an opportunity to fundraise. I chose Project Purple since Laura's Godmother had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
We greatly appreciate your support by donating to this awesome organization (and wearing your purple) so I can run the Marathon with my Sole Sister! The stats for this disease are not getting any better so every donation makes a difference, no matter how big or small.
