This year I will be running the Chicago Marathon for Project Purple. I am extremely proud to be a part of this team and hope I can help spread some awareness about Pancreatic Cancer. I chose this organization because Pancreatic Cancer is one of the most fatal cancers that exist. There is no early detection and no known cure. I want to help support and raise money for the people that are have Pancreatic Cancer and for the families that have lost loved ones to it.
"Project Purple is a non-profit organization created with the goal of raising awareness and funds to defeat pancreatic cancer." My personal goal is to raise a minimum of $2,000 to contribute and be a part of the change.
Project Purple has a mission of a world without pancreatic cancer and our runners help us get one step closer with every stride. Pancreatic Cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer, so I believe that any amount can help make a change and help the research improve.
Pancreatic cancer will become the #2 killer of all major cancers in the USA by 2020 and we need your help to fund more research and help more families fighting. The cause for pancreatic cancer is not fully understood.
I will be running 26.2 miles in Chicago next year to support the people we have lost their battle to pancreatic cancer and who are currently fighting. I want to give them hope and courage to continue their battle. Please join me in supporting Project Purple in the 2020 Chicago Marathon.
