In July 2018, my mom, Jill (Zehnder) Lewis was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I have walked by her side since she was diagnosed, doing whatever I can to make her appointments, tests, chemo infusions and side effects a little easier to endure. Despite all my reading, notetaking, praying, words of encouragement and CaringBridge updates, I cannot cure her. I cannot take the pain away. I cannot get her into clinical trials. But I can use my passion for running to help raise money for pancreatic research and financial aid for pancreatic cancer patients. We all know cancer steals lives. Cancer causes suffering. Cancer sucks. Pancreatic cancer is particularly deadly. Only 9% of people diagnosed with pancan survive beyond 5 years. Will you help me support better outcomes for others like my mom? I appreciate your support.
