In the Fall of 2018, my grandmother Lucy Calabrese was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I did not know anything about the disease at the time but found out the hard way that it is one of the deadliest and fastest moving cancers. Come December of 2018, my grandmother had passed away. She was the centerpiece to our family, and a bright spot in everyone’s life she touched.
This March, I will proudly be running the 2020 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in her memory and all of those who have passed from this horrible disease. I have partnered with Project Purple, one of the country’s leading pancreatic cancer charities that has given over $2 million in patient financial aid and research grants to find a cure. As I train, I will be working to raise money for their charity and to support their hard work.
Please donate and join me in supporting this wonderful foundation, as they help to find a cure.
