While I am lucky that I do not know anyone personally that has had Pancreatic cancer, a close friend has lost many family members to this diease and as show of friendship I have join her and project purple to run and fundraiser so that one day pancreatic cancer can be a thing of the past.
It is estimated that 45,750 deaths (23,800 men and 21,950 women) from this disease will occur this year. Pancreatic cancer is the ninth most common cancer in women and the tenth most common cancer in men. It is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in men and women. It accounts for 7% of all cancer deaths.
Please consider donating so that one day no one will ever have to lose a friend or loved one to this deadly diease.
