Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity is committed to making affordable and safe housing a reality for low to moderate income families. With the help of donations, volunteers, proceeds from our ReStore, and hard work from our partner families, we're making that dream of homeownership possible in the Greater Richmond area.
The idea of Project Playhouse is "little houses, building big houses". Not only is the program a way to provide a dream playhouse to a hardworking Habitat family, but it is also a fundraising tool for Habitat for Humanity to be able to build homes in our area.
How it works:
1) Create your team page!
2) Set a fundraising goal for at least $2,500 for your playhouse!
3) Based on the Family's theme for the playhouse, each team will design, build, paint, and decorate a playhouse. All materials, including the schematics, lumber, paint, nails, and tools will be provided to each team; all you need to bring is your design!
4) Team sizes on average are 6-8 people and the playhouses can be built in one day.
