As seniors at Illinois State University, one of our last missions before graduating is to give back to the community that we have called home for the last four years. In doing so, we are fundraising for our Com 323 Small Group class and that money is going towards Project Oz, a non-profit that helps underprivileged and runaway youth get back on their feet. With this, our goal is to raise enough money to sponsor an apartment for one of these individuals. Additionally, these funds will be used towards furnishing the apartment and providing basic, everyday necessities that many take for granted to those in need.
Project Oz helps "more than 350 runaway and homeless youth every year. Most usually have little more than the clothes they are wearing."
