Hi There! I am so glad that you have reached my Crowdrise! As you may know, I have been involved with FIMRC for about one year now, having gone to La Merced, Peru this year and will continue on with the organization to Project Alejuelita, Costa Rica next year. As a childcare provider, teacher, aunt and aspiring pediatrician, in the United States, I interact with the most blessed children in the world every day. Being able to help and teach is such a fulfilling life. Pursuing this path working with children is most empowering. As I watch them grow up, I can see our future generation. It is a true miracle to see a happy, healthy child learning and laughing. Unfortunately, there are children in the world who do not have every chance to be their happiest or healthiest. With an average household of dirt flooring occupied by eight people without proper water supplies, common disease seen are upper respiratory infections and parasites of the intestines. As I am sure you know, well being is not just how our bodies feel, but how our emotions are regulated as well . At Project Alejuelita, ther has been a great initative put in place for mental health resources and therapies for those refugees and other residents living in the area to live the most well rounded and healthful live. Getting to learn with the team in Costa Rica will be priceless both for me and the patients that I will be working with. Your donation will brings each one of us forward. Blessings, Hollie
