Many Ghanaians live with undiagnosed mental illness; this has been exacberated by the Coivd-19 pandemic. According to a WHO situational analysis, it is estimated that of the 30.6 million people living in Ghana, over 650,000 have a severe mental disorder and 2,166,000 are suffering from a moderate to mild mental illness. This suffering is due to the treatment gap, pervasive sigma, lack of awareness, and lack of treatment centers. Sankofa for Peace has acquired a piece of land in Nkawnta-Ghana to build a mental health treatment center to alleviate this suffering. Funding is needed for this project.
Sankofa for Peace kindly requests a donation of your choice towards the bulding of the treatment center. Your support will empower a severly disadvantaged and vulnerable population to change thier lives' trajectory.
