The vision of Project helping is to provide everyone with a chance to work on their mental wellness every day. We collaborate locally with nonprofit organizations serving low-income populations. Our Kyndfulness for Kids (K4K) program cultivates a lifelong habit of service and giving for youth ages 5-18.
Teen suicide rates are at an all-time high. KyndU will provide wellness experiences customized for teen participants. Volunteerism has proven mental wellness benefits and is a great tool to bring young people together and amplify the wellness and social benefit of service. Each volunteer experience will be followed by a teen community hour where youth will be provided a community of support in addition to mental health resources and awareness to reduce stigma around suicide. Examples of resources and awareness may include guided group conversation and the sharing of resources or relevant speakers, media, etc.
Your donation will combat the increasing rate of suicide among teens throughout the nation and, specifically, in Colorado, Florida, and California where Project Helping currently offers K4K programs. Funds will be used to proactively address this highly unfortunate suicide trend by leading meaningful, social volunteer experiences designed specifically for teens.
KyndU would serve to address a major issue faced by suicide prevention initiatives: awareness and resource accessibility. Please consider donating to help this very worthy program make a difference.
