Tykes & Teens needs your help to make sure no 2019 graduate loses their life on the road on Graduation night. Project Graduation is a locally run, nationally developed drug and alcohol-free program designed for graduating seniors that encourages graduates to stay off the streets on graduation night. Over the past 23 years more than 15,000 seniors from the public high schools in Martin County have participated in Project Graduation, and there have been NO DUI arrests or deaths involving graduates in Martin County on graduation nights since its inception! Managed by non-profit Tykes & Teens and a dedicated group of volunteers, Project Graduation occurs immediately after graduation for 3 consecutive nights at the YMCA of the Treasure Coast for each of the Martin County School District’s public high schools (JBHS, MCHS & SFHS). Nearly 75% of the graduating class from each school attend their respective events. Tykes & Teens is working to secure much of the funding needed to sustain these 3 events, but as you can imagine, it is an expensive endeavor to put on 3 overnight events that offer quality activities, entertainment and food to attract graduates. IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE, and we all must do our part. We are asking for community members and businesses to step up with a donation to help. Together, we can make a difference.
