Cornerstone Jamaica is proud to establish PROJECT BOUNCE, a collaborative initiative between Bounce Across Jamaica and the Westmoreland Football Association.
All three organizations recognize the social, emotional, and physical toll the COVID-19 pandemic has taken on youth around the world. As we come out of the pandemic, PROJECT BOUNCE aims to re-engage children with others and the outdoors, change the landscape of football on the island, and improve overall health and well-being of youth in Westmoreland and surrounding Parishes.
Cornerstone Jamaica has arranged a donation of over 1000 uniforms, 500 balls, and other equipment like goalie gloves, shin pads, and cleats valuing over $30,000 USD. This equipment has been procured by many generous Montreal Football Clubs* (see acknowledgments below) and coordinated with extreme dedication by Mr. Donald Brideau of Bounce Across Jamaica.
While we are so appreciative for the in-kind donations of uniforms and equipment, we must acquire funding to get these items to Jamaica. Therefore, we are seeking $15,000 US to cover the costs to purchase of a 20” shipping container and ship items from Canada to Jamaica and to purchase drawstring backpacks that can hold donated equipment.
Donations of $5,000 US or more made by an individual or organization will be honored by having their logo proudly on display on the container at the Llandillo Sports Complex and on the drawstring bags.
For questions or to make an offline donation, please contact Mr. Gary Robinson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Acknowledgements: Cornerstone Jamaica, Bounce Across Jamaica and the Westmoreland Football Association would like to thank the following club teams from Montréal, Canada; CSVR, Lakeshore Soccer Club, Laprarie, Montréal Impact, St. Hyacinthe and Vaudreuil-Dorion
