After having cycled across Canada for childhood leukaemia research for The Childhood Cancer Foundation, Rich Aucoin is greasing up the bike again to cycle across America this spring/summer. This time the tour will be raising money for both Mental Health America and The Canadian Mental Health Association. Raising money for mental health is a natural fit for Aucoin as his positive life-affirming show has been often described as a natural anti-depressant. The tour, originally called F#$K YOU DEPRESSION, now called PRESS ON, will begin March 26 in Los Angeles and conclude June 26 in Philedelphia. Aucoin will be playing shows and donating 100% of the proceeds to the two charities while trying to bring awareness to the cause particularly during Mental Health Awareness Month in May. Aucoin will be joined by bandmates flying in here and there to help flush out these shows as he pedals alone across the deserts, mountains, forests and cities of America. At each show, expect a joyous celebratory event, as Exclaim! describes: “Rich Aucoin tours like no one else, because his live shows are unlike any other”. As Aucoin invites the crowds to sing-a-long in a crowd-karaoke style show filled with synchronized video projections, lights, confetti, dancing and an enormous play parachute covering the audience. Come out and support mental health research and be a part of the show.
