Multi-Disciplinary clinics are becoming the future of healthcare. Being able to visit a medical specialist and having the support of other essential functions like nutrition, speech therapy, nursing and much more is vital to providing integrated services for complex medical conditions.
Dr. Jennifer Miller is an endocrinologist that our Prader-Willi community knows very well. It is rare to come across a passionate individual like her who truly gives every ounce of energy to providing a better outcome for our children. Over the past year she has added staff to her team. Sarah is a speech pathologist who has been accompanying Dr. Miller in her clinic. She is an expert in apraxia, feeding, swallowing and behavior. Hannah is a nutritionist who is also seeing patients during clinic hours. Nutrition is essential for our PWS community.
Many patients travel long and far to visit Dr. Miller's PWS clinic to get the best possible care. In order for her to do so, she needs these positions in her clinic. We are in jeopardy of losing them.
