Please donate to support the Jan 18, 2020 Power Together TN - Women's March Tennessee event! This event is free for participants, but there are costs including venue fees, training materials and supplies, lunch, and community education materials like handouts. This is a 501c3 sponsored event. Our fiscal sponsor is Nashville Peace and Justice Center.

OUR STORY After three years of marching, three years of training, and three years of building political power, Power Together TN, in solidarity with Women's March, is launching into our fourth year with renewed energy to take on the issues that motivate our movements, and a plan to build the future with a growing community of Tennessee activists.

Since day one, women have been leading the resistance against all forms of bigotry, racism, and injustice, and leading the way toward equality and justice for everyone. In the weeks following the first march, women signed up in the thousands for workshops on how to run for office. Black women voted in elections across the country in record numbers to protect all of our communities. Women and our allies took action on every front. The power of women was noted and challenged by those who were threatened by it, but nevertheless, four years later Power Together TN is entering 2020 ready to finish what we started and continue building power for everyday people.

We are proud to be co-creating the 2020 Power Together TN - Women's March Tennessee event with powerful organizations from across the issues spectrum.  This year we will take our "March to the Doors" themed event to Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee, 30 miles south of Nashville, to expand the electorate and listen to the community talk about what issues will drive them to the polls this year.

We will begin the day with a values based/deep canvassing training workshop for up to 400 activists, organizers, and volunteers. After training, we will have lunch and a send off rally -- then we will spread throughout the county for a two hour mass community engagement effort. We will close the day by coming together for a powerful and momentum building rally to kick off our community work for 2020!

The 2020 Power Together event will be a platform for intersecting issue areas including immigration, LGBTQ, climate breakdown, reproductive rights and health, mass incarceration, healthcare issues, and economic justice. Costs for this event include venue fees, training materials and supplies, lunch, and community education materials.

Power Together TN is working to ensure that Tennessee becomes a place that works for all of us, not just an elite few. Join us at https://www.womensmarchtn.org/ . Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/PowerTogetherTN/ Email info@womensmarchtn.org with questions or concerns!
