Porter Park Legacy
The birch trees that Aurthor Porter planted in Porter Park along 2nd West are dying. They have stood for many years, providing beauty, and constancy to our community. But these survivors have been pruned so extensively much of their original beauty is gone. This summer the City will take them down. On Arbor Day of 2020 new trees will be planted.
Your help is needed to replace these trees and preserve the legacy.
Part of the Rexburg Parks Centennial
In 2029 it will be 100 years since Porter Park, the first municipal park, was established. In the succeeding years the city has added 9 parks and over 86 acres of parkland. Parks have become a place where residents gather to relax, play, and celebrate. Everyone has a park memory. As Rexburg continues to grow, the City wants to maintain and build new parks so that future generations can enjoy and make memories in these parks.
