Pops (David Petroff) was diagnosed a few months ago with Stage 3 Cancer - Melanoma. Melanoma occurs in 2% of people with skin cancer and is the most dangerous of all the skin cancers as the cancer cells can mutate and spread to the lymph nodes, bloodstream, and other organs. Pops has completed 6 weeks of radiation after they found cancer cells in his lymph nodes under his arm. He is also doing one year of Immunotherapy to hopefully prevent anymore cancer cells from spreading or developing. He is fighting the fight and we are so proud of him for having the courage to get through this. Pops you have the love and support of your family and friends and we are fighting right along with you. My Pops asked our family this past weekend that he did not want any gifts this holiday season but instead whatever we were going to spend to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in his honor. I believe we have all been touched by cancer ~whether its yourself, family member, friend, colleague, etc... Let's help give a gift that will hopefully someday find a cure for cancer. It's Giving Tuesday and I thought it would be great to extend this outside of just our family. Every amount helps whether its $1 or $100. Wishing all of you a Happy Holiday Season! Pops keep fighting and know we love you.
