The American Cancer Society will be hosting the Pop of Color Party on Friday, September 20th, 2019. This party with a purpose event takes place at The Grotto in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and will feature live music, raffles, a silent auction, incredible food and drinks, entertainment and special ceremonies throughout.
The Theme of the night is Pop of Color. By wearing a pop of color, it represents the cancer awareness colors and the type(s) of cancer that has impacted your life or the lives of your loved ones. This theme was specifically chosen because the American Cancer Society is the only nonprofit working to combat all types of cancer. The Society is a global force, fighting ALL cancer on ALL fronts, in our local communities, across the US and around the globe. The best part? This celebration is more than just an unforgettable night out, it raises money to support the American Cancer Society's mission to save lives from the disease. Join us as we celebrate the impact that the American Cancer Society is making in the fight against cancer. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, and the celebration will last until Midnight.
Thanks to progress we are making together, we are saving approximately 400 lives per day and have decreased the cancer death rate 22% since 1991. But it is not time to rest - approximately 1.7 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the United States this year. The Pop of Color Party supports the American Cancer Societys mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer by being there 24 hours a day, 7 days for everyone and anyone impacted by this disease.
