“As many of you know, I am very passionate about serving on the 2020 Chicago Go Red for Women Board, (an initiative I’ve been part of for several years). I’m excited to partner with the American Heart Association and many other male and female leaders in healthcare, technology and other industries to raise awareness for the #1 threat facing women – heart disease and stroke. And as you all know, 18 months or so ago I now have a very personal connection to this cause since my own stroke and PFO closure on my heart.
For more than 90 years, the American Heart Association has helped drive innovation, research and education to create a safer, healthier community. The AHA is a global leader in advancing evidence-based employee health and wellbeing programs that ultimately improve and save lives. They are committed to breakthroughs in science and technology, changes in systems and policy, and transforming communities, so that the healthy choice is always the easy choice.
As a valued part of my life, I ask you to join me in supporting this important cause by making an online donation. Our upcoming annual luncheon is coming up at the end of February and while I wish you all could be my guests, please know how much your donation and support mean to me and this amazing organization. Please know that any amount is meaningful; and I know we all get asked to donate to a million different things!” - Lisa Katz
