Only you can force me to Jump in the Lake and not be a "Chicken," but only if you can help me raise $3,000 by next week. Then I will gladly take the Polar Plung challenge and "Go Jump in the Lake" on February 16th to help in the fundraising efforts to build a skatepark in our Village of Greenwood Lake, NY. Anyone who knows me will know I have invested a tremendous amount of time and effort into youth development programs over the the last 20 years and this is no different. My passion is to provide fun opportunities to learn a sport and safe alternatives to keep kids out of trouble. By investing locally in our kids we pave the road to a prosperous community because these kids are our future.
The "Do It for Dale!" logo of the skatepark is for Dale Hirrel. Dale always dreamed of having a place to skate in his town and with your help we are making his dream come true! Dale was taken from us in a tragic car accident in April 2016. He always brought smiles and light into his friends and family's lives and his favorite activity was skateboarding! Skateparks build and sustain healthy communities, providing a safe and controlled environment for people to practice the art of skateboarding, develop their skills and share tips and experiences with one another.
