I have the fortunate opportunity to cross a major milestone off my bucket list by running the Boston Marathon on April 20, 2020 in support of the Pedro Martinez Foundation. Running Boston is something I've dreamed of doing for a long time and that desire only intensified after completing my first marathon this past spring, and cheering on friends as they ran Boston and New York in the past year. My goal is to raise $10,000 for Pedro’s Foundation.
Not only do I get the honor of running this historic route, I get to do it in support of the charitable efforts of a man I've idolized and respected for as long as I can remember. The charitable work that Pedro Martinez does to improve the lives of children around the world is nothing short of remarkable. For kids and families in vulnerable communities, the Pedro Martinez Foundation provides economic, academic, social, and athletic opportunities that would not otherwise exist. I think we all can agree, every kid deserves a chance, and Pedro helps fulfill this mission. Not only was Pedro the best pitcher in baseball, he was and continues to be one of the best off the field. He's never forgotten where he came from, and wants to give as many kids as possible the same opportunity. Please consider joining my efforts to raise funds for this great foundation
Pedro Martinez Foundation began over 10 years ago, and we have reached hundreds of thousands of children and families. We provide meals, clean water, education, scholarships, job training skills, day care services, hurricane relief assistance, new home construction, sports education, and so much more. We are more successful now than ever before, and we are only getting bigger!
It is our belief that it "takes a village" to raise a child and support a family, therefore we truly rally around children and families, to allow them to have a brighter future today and tomorrow!
We are ecstatic about our third year with a team running to represent our Foundation, and all the families we provide support to!
Join us as we strive to give children and families a better future in the United States and Latin America. Go to www.pedromartinezfoundation.com for more information.
