This will be my 11th consecutive PMC, and it seems as though every year, just when I think there is nothing new to say to explain why this amazing charity, this beautiful ride, this incredible life mission means so much to me; life continues to provide reasons. This year, my original inspiration for riding, my wonderful father, passed away on June 12th. With his many month battle with congestive heart failure beginning earlier in the year, it really has been hard for me to get jump started on my PMC fundraising. My Spinathon this year will be September 14th due to my difficulty in getting past all that was going on with Dad. But here we are, and I won't let him down. When I embraced the PMC, so did Dad. He attended the Spinathon bearing his name "Shawn's Ride for Bob and Tina", and he was very proud of what we all did for the fight against Cancer. Also this year, my friend Lee Connors has been battling breast cancer and my cousin Deb Prouty's husband Scott battled throat cancer, and he is now cancer free. We will be honoring them at this year's Spinathon. So, here we go again! There is still Cancer, so there is still the PMC and I am going to ride until I can't ride anymore, and I need my amazing team of fundraisers to stay right in this fight with me! REMEMBER, IF YOU ARE DONATING FOR A SPINATHON RIDER, PLEASE PUT THEIR NAME IN THE COMMENT SECTION WHEN YOU DONATE!
