Please join WNBA Legend — Clarisse Machanguana — in helping the children of Mozambique and their families fight COVID-19.
Clarisse is already leading the day-to-day effort in Mozambique, and she welcomes you as an invaluable teammate!
Just 20¢ can provide 1 individual with immediate, invaluable, life-saving information on an ongoing basis during the COVID-19 crisis (with US$10,000 reaching ~50,000 individuals).
100% of net proceeds raised will be used for FCM's COVID-19 awareness program.
A DIGITAL DIALOGUE WITH 50,000+
Clarisse’s organization — Fundação Clarisse Machanguana (FCM) — intends to digitally-reach and engage with 50,000+ children and family members on an ongoing basis with communications of vital COVID-19 information.
FMC will leverage (A) its existing online presence across FACEBOOK, FACEBOOK LIVE, WHATSAPP, and mobile SMS, (B) hopefully Apple's "COVID-19 Screening Tool" app (translated to Portuguese), (C) traditional media channels (especially regional and national free-to-air radio), and (D) earned media to inform and engage citizens in a critical ONGOING DIALOGUE as Mozambique's communities navigate the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic just now reaching its shores and people.
FCM'S FRIENDS WILL ALSO JOIN THE TEAM
FCM will also seek to involve community leaders, celebrity and other “influencers,” the Health Ministry, mobile phone companies and other corporations, and various NGOs -- as FCM has successfully done in previous HIV/AIDS and other programs.
Impact will be measured by the # of individuals reached through all channels, as well as the degree of engagement and dialogue on an ongoing basis starting ASAP and enduring until the COVID-19 pandemic has passed.
THE GREATEST NEED CAN OFFER THE GREATEST UPSIDE
Mozambique is a beautiful country filled with ~30 million citizens of great potential, but currently ranks as one of world’s absolute poorest and most underdeveloped.
For example, income levels are the 8th lowest in the world out of 194 countries (bottom 4%) and infant mortality rates are the 3rd highest in the world (bottom 2%).
Moreover, the health care system faces the 2nd highest prevalence of HIV/AIDS... and the spread of COVID-19 has just begun.
Fortunately, the value of a US$ stretches significantly in Mozambique. Your contribution used to inform and educate Mozambique’s citizens ASAP can SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCE the rates of infection and deaths from COVID-19.
With a modest contribution, you can save lives.
