Owen needs your help!
Owen was taken into SNUGGLE when he was a baby. His mama had a c-section and then she could no longer feed them. There were four babies. Two of them passed before Owen and his brother, Otis, came to SNUGGLE. Sadly, Otis passed after a few short weeks.
Owen has always been behind and very small for his age, but he’s a tough little fella. When he was about 12 weeks, he was doing great and he transitioned to Heartland to find his forever home. Owen was finally over two pounds at five months old and as neutered. Shortly thereafter, he was lethargic and had difficulty walking.
His Heartland foster mom rushed him to VSS as soon as his issues became apparent. Owen was still lethargic and having difficulty walking. He was not eating and becoming weaker by the hour. His eyes also became glassy and developed uveitis, which is a further sign of FIP. After many diagnostic tests, the vets believe that he has the neurological form of FIP. Not too long ago, this was an automatic death sentence, but now there is treatment available to not just manage this disease, but cure it! However, it can be rather costly and this expense is above and beyond the funds that we currently have available.
Owen has had a rough start in his short life so far and we want to give him the very best! Together, Heartland and SNUGGLE are partnering to raise the $2500 needed to provide treatment for Owen. He is just a baby at only five months old and deserves every chance to be healthy and happy. We know this is a difficult time, but we need you, and Owen needs you!
Please give if you can; every dollar adds up and can make the difference for Owen! If you can’t donate, please share this and keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Thank you for your support as we work together to save Owen’s life! May the blessings you give come back to you threefold!
