Over seven years ago, about ten of us decided to start this rescue to help homeless dogs who did not have a chance without us. Most of us owned one or two Labs, so we added Labs in the name of the organization. However, we made sure to include all dogs in our rescue efforts: other breeds, purebred or not, mixed breeds, senior dogs, puppies, all types and sizes of dogs who no one else would help. We wanted all of them to have a chance at a great life, so we set out to rescue them and find them loving and caring families. Little did we know that more than 7 years later, we would have rescued and found homes for almost 8,000 dogs and puppies. Unfortunately, the problem of homelessness in the dog population persists, so we really need your help in helping our cause to rescue and save "Man's Best Friend". We are truly a "grassroots" organization. We are an all-volunteer rescue group and we are classified as a non-profit, meaning all funds donated go straight to help the dogs and all donations are tax deductible. We would have not been able to sustain our rescue effort without the generosity and donations of our wonderful and loving supporters. Without all of you, we cannot continue rescuing dogs. We have two major fundraisers each year. The Mutt Run on Saturday, October 27 is one of them. Please join us by donating a little or a lot (no amount is too small), or build your own fundraising page and share it with your friends and raise money to help our cause. Or, if you can't donate, come on out and have fun at the Mutt Run and see all of the great dogs with their new forever families. You are sure to have a great time!
