Poor little Boomer has had a rough start to his precious life! He was surrendered to BARC, Houston's city shelter, with extensive injuries. He had lacerations, road rash, and was limping badly...all the signs of a puppy who was hit by a car. Rescued Pets Movement got him out of the shelter and into a great foster home where he's getting the love and attention he deserves. X-rays indicate that he has broken bones in both legs that have been healing improperly, making walking difficult and painful. Little Boomer doesn't show it, though. He's very loving and not a complainer. He'll need at least two surgeries to reset his bones with external fixation devices to help his bones grow properly. These surgeries will be done by an orthopedic surgeon and we all know that the operation and followup care required will be expensive. As a non-profit rescue organization, our funds are already stretched thin. Will you help us help Boomer? Any funds raised over our goal amount will be applied to our medical program so we can give regular vaccinations and treatments to the many other kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs traveling to our rescue partners so they can find forever homes. We can't do this without your help! THANK YOU for caring about Houston's homeless pets!
