Would you like to help a 13 year old boy in Greece named Angelo, with severe intellectual disabilities and an inability to walk, obtain a wheelchair?
Saint Paul’s Autism Research & Training Academy (SPARTA) Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in New York and in Greece founded by a team of NYS licensed teachers, NYS Licensed Behavior Analysts, Board Certified Behavior Analysts and researchers. that conducts treatments and research in home- and center-based settings as well as parent training through the implementation of innovative empirically supported procedures in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to address the needs of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other severe developmental disabilities living in underserved, rural areas (e.g., villages, mountains) where there is a lack of behavioral services. SPARTA’s behavioral interventions are comprehensive across all developmental domains and symptoms of ASD, and all educational and therapeutic services are focused and intensive and tailored specifically for the need of each and every child.
SPARTA has worked towards improving the lives of every family and student we serve by directly implementing intensive therapies and 1:1 instruction in the home, center, school, and in the community for non-verbal students with severe autism with the goal of making these children independent across all settings and to give them access to the things that all boys and girls around the world are entitled to such as community inclusion, recreational skills and tasks. SPARTA has already began to implement treatment overseas in Greece, as well as America and our impact on the communities we are in have been significant. In Greece, we are showing parents that ABA does work if done properly and that there is help, even if they cannot afford it. Here in New York, our mission is to provide ABA therapy to allow any child to attend regardless of background, or their parent's income.
When we began our mission to create SPARTA, it was formulated with the understanding that only through passion combined with scientific research would it be possible to grapple with the causes, impacts and practicable treatments for a disease that has impacted many families for decades. Our goal is to achieve success by reshaping the lives of people suffering from autistic disorders by implementing intensive 1:1 behavioral therapy, and to broaden education within families and communities where research has identified growing concern.
With your help and generous support, SPARTA will be able to help Angel. It may only be one boy in Greece, and it will surely not change the world but for this sweet boy, his world will change forever thanks to you.
Every single dollar donated goes 100% to the purchase of a wheelchair and is tax deductible
Thank you for your support.
