We believe in providing the opportunity for every child to play soccer regardless of their economic background, no matter their community or club.
Girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys around the age of 14, and by age 17, nearly 51% will have quit entirely. It is vitally important that girls are able to participate in athletics-it has been shown to improve confidence, teamwork, and perseverance, which we as parents have witnessed firsthand.
But for some players and their families, that vital chance at success can be even harder to seize, especially with rising costs associated with playing and lack of club funding.
Empowering our girls through sport in today’s world is all the more critical.
Our Empowerment Programs aim to help young girls find their inner self and strength and instill a sense of volunteerism in the college and high school players that act as role models for young players.
We also seek to fill the financial opportunity gap and provide every player with the chance to participate in the game through direct player grants and club support. Through the support of companies and the community, SCC will be able to expand past efforts and bring a sustainable resource to our community for the collective benefit of individual young players and clubs alike.
Please provide the opportunity for children to play soccer who otherwise wouldn't have the chance -- make your gift today.
