Platinum Minds is a nonprofit educational and leadership development organization dedicated to assisting boys from environmentally challenged neighborhoods with achieving their full academic potential and becoming leaders in their communities.
Platinum Minds currently have 35 young scholars, 6th to 12th graders, who participate in its Arete program from September to August and another 45 K-12 boys who participate in its weekly Frederick Douglass Reading program from March to June.
In order to provide these services we need your help. With less than 60% of boys from Urban Communities graduating high school, it is clear that our 100% high school graduation rate is making a positive difference in the lives of these young men.
When younger boys learn to read, we know they are less likely to drop out of school, engage in risky behavior and have better relationships with family and peers.
When our children do well, our communities thrive and our nation benefits. With over twelve years of experience working with boys K-12, we are dedicated to having them succeed.
