#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity as an immediate response to the unprecedented situation caused by COVID-19.
New Visions for Lawrence County is excited to participate with our Planting Hope #GivingTuesdayNow campaign! Our organization has operated to drive an influx of grassroots generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for our neighbors since its inception. In all of our operations, we strive to truly plant hope in the hearts of our community partners. The current state of the world reinforces our mission and brings us closer than ever. Through our partners at The Lawrence County Community Foundation and the Greater New Castle Beautification Fund, a generous donor has offered to DOUBLE THE DONATION dollar-for-dollar up to $2,500 for downtown New Castle hanging baskets, flower and shrub planting, and community clean ups in the Diamond, along East Washington Street, and at the Statue of Liberty replica. Any funds raised beyond this amount will go towards events such as the Riverwalk Concert Series and the "Hometown Holly Days" season which includes the annual light up parade and Community Ice Rink. Our spirits remain high as we think about the days when we will gather at these events and laugh, tell stories, and cherish our time together.
Even in times of economic crisis, we each have a deep reserve of generosity, which we can deploy in myriad ways to make a difference--your time, your kindness, your skills, your voice are all things you can give in addition to charitable donations. By sharing our campaign with your circle of influence, you have the ability to spread the message of planting hope further than we ever could alone. We sincerely thank you for your contributions and efforts.
