About five years ago, we welcomed our first Secondhand Hounds foster into our home. Arlo (in the picture above) was a sweet little fluffball living with cerebellar hypoplasia. While Arlo's gentle tremors kept her from a career in doggie ballet, they paved the road right into our hearts.
Since then, we've had the luck to help twenty more pups find forever families. And yet there are still so many, many more who need help. Medical care. Support adjusting to life as a dog and not a stray, a breeder or much, much worse.
Secondhand Hounds doesn't just rescue dogs. They save dogs' lives. They take on the dogs that everyone else has given up on. They give the care that no one else can. They show love where there has only been pain. And they need your help.
To show our support for Secondhand Hounds' fundraiser Bark in Your Park, on June 5th I'm cycling 21 miles - one mile for every dog we've fostered.
Please help us reach our goal in supporting this incredible organization! Every contribution counts and goes directly to providing care to the dogs who need it most. Thank you!
