Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters,
My name is PJ and as a lot of you know, I have been an avid runner and coach of runners for most of my life. I have covered thousands of miles in my career, and have decided that it is time to set out to race my first marathon distance.
I have always envisioned myself using this opportunity to raise money for a greater cause and so I am driven to commit my debut race at the OC Marathon on May 6th, 2018 to the Hall Steps Foundation.
Ryan and Sara Hall, the founders of this organization, were instrumental role models to me when I first started running. Their faith, hard-work, and success at the marathon distance inspired me as I developed a passion for the sport and what it can do on a higher level.
That is why it is an honor to support their mission to protect and empower vulnerable women and children living in extreme poverty in Ethiopia. This couple has a real understanding and passion for the needs of this population, having spent long stints in this country, and adopting four wonderful Ethiopian girls. You can see what they've done and what they continue to do at this link:
I have set big goals for this marathon and it is no different with this fundraiser. I want to raise $2,620 to help this couple continue to work to fight global poverty.
If I could inspire 100 friends to donate $26.20, we would impact countless families in this area of the world.
Will you take steps with me towards this goal?
Thank you dearly,
