DONNA STREAKER-definition-a crazy passionate runner who relentlessly does not give up until the mission is complete.
I have run The DONNA every year keeping my promise to my grandmother I would do everything possible to help spread the word about breast cancer and raise funds to help find a cure.
After already been active in the breast cancer community since 2007, 'Pink Feet' was created 2010 when I 'downgraded' myself from the full marathon to the half marathon because of a lack of training. I decided I would run a half marathon a month for a year as a 'badass' training program and come back to the next years marathon stronger than every before!
That year of running a half marathon a month, I realized people were traveling and racing in each state. Being a travel agent, obviously I had to jump on the bandwagon. Little did I know that I would still continue to run a half marathon a month while also trying to complete the 50 states.
I am now on Year 8 of running a half marathon a month, and by the time The 12th Annual DONNA Marathon takes place Feb 10, 2019, I will have completed 93 half marathons and 40 states!
My overall goal is to raise $100,000 for breast cancer charities since 2007 by the time I finish the 50 states, wrapping up with DONNA Marathon in 2021. I am currently over $69,000. Donations are currently being accepted for The DONNA which helps the Mayo Clinic and DONNA Foundation.

Nov 4 2018, Pinkfeet completed State 40, half marathon 91 in CO. The next day I went on a frozen waterfall hike and slipped in snow, breaking my ankle in 3 locations, requiring surgery with 10 pins and a plate. The half marathon a month mission has ended with 7 years 8 months in the books. The 50 states mission will resume after a speedy and healthy recovery!
I WILL be particparing in The DONNA Marathon weekend! I was registered to run the Challenge including the 5k Saturday and full marathon Sunday. I am hoping to be able to walk the 5k and Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation is letting me use a hand crank trike for the marathon!
