Reagan, Griffin and Cole Jareck, and Graydon and Kennedy Britt have been searching for a way to raise money for a local charity while they are home. These cousins love making each other laugh, love to have fun, and they especially love making a big mess. With that being said, we would like to introduce "Pies 4 Pediatrics." Who doesn't love a pie in the face??? We are kindly encouraging our friends and family to take part in this activity and challenge 4 more individuals along the way. Feel free to be creative - whipped cream, shaving cream, yogurt or any messy food is welcome. This could be a group or solo activity - just have fun!
With our challenge, we have chosen to support the Tommy Strong Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Tommy Strong was created in memory of 6 year old, Tommy FitzPatrick, who passed away last year after a very courageous battle with brain cancer. The Foundation's main goal is to raise money for the medical community in an effort to find a cure for pediatric cancers, as well as provide support for the children and families who are fighting this disease. In addition to raising money for research, Tommy Strong recently donated new iPads to the patients at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital in Hackensack so that these children could continue safe social interaction with family and friends. The Foundation was also able to provide grocery gift cards for families impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and they have big plans to continue to help these families.
Did you know that only 4% of the national cancer research budget is allocated to pediatric cancer? Let's help make that number #morethan4!
