My Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease 8 years ago. Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder. Though it primary affects movement, there are many other non-motor symptoms. While my Dad has been working hard to overcome the challenges posed by PD, I wanted to show my support and admiration for him by running the Phoenix Marathon on February 9th, 2019 to raise awareness and money for the Parkinson’s Foundation. This foundation supports those diagnosed with information that can make their lives easier and funds research for a cure. You can join me in supporting my Dad by donating to the Parkinson’s Foundation OR simply by raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease and cheering me on (even virtually) as I train for the marathon! All donations are tax deductible.
