We are once again participating in Wear Red Day organized by the American Heart Association (AHA). This year is a bit different. This year the world has been rocked by Covid-19 leaving so much pain for our friends, family and communities. Keeping this pandemic in mind, we wanted to frame this year’s Wear Red Day in a new light: Heart health in the Age of Covid.
Covid-19 has changed how we approach our health, especially our heart health. Our doctors and first responders had to re-evaluate how to perform lifesaving procedures like CPR. Stroke care had to be adjusted, and dietary restrictions changed.
To help raise awareness and fight for this cause, the Philly Metro Women’s Interest ERG will be hosting a fundraiser starting today, Wednesday, January 13th through the official Go Red for Women Day, Friday, February 5th. We will be hosting a heart health related event late February. Be on the lookout for that email.
Help us meet our goal of $500! A minimum donation through GoFundMe is $10.00.
We look forward to celebrating this important day with all of you!
