I'm attempting a 76 mile run around the border of Philadelphia as part of the Fairmount Park Conservancy's current fundraising efforts.
This pandemic and subsequent shutdown has thrown into perspective the importance of safe, open, public spaces, and made me realize how much I appreciate them as a Philly resident! With that in mind I reached out to the FPC to see if I could raise a bit of money for the excellent work that they do.
I'll be highlighting some of my favorite facts about the FPC and the route I'll be attempting on social media (instagram @evanreinhardt) in the days leading up to my run. I hope you'll follow along!
But first some quick bussiness --
I'm hoping to raise $2000 for the parks over the next week. My company has created a $760 match fund for anyone who is willing to sponsor me for $1 per attempted mile (total of $76). If you're able to come in at that level it will get you a special thank you shout out during my run. If that's a bit steep, any donation is greatly appreciated! Also, if you don't have the means to fininancially contribute but would still like to support, please feel free to share news of the run with friends and family.
The Fairmount Park Conservancy is generously offering donors (you!) the option to opt-in to their membership program which includes great perks (guided hikes, yoga classes, t-shirt, tote bag, etc.) which you can learn about here. Just be sure to opt-in at checkout (via the Donate button to your right)!

Lastly, I want to throw a HUGE THANK YOU to Michael "Gagz" Gagliardi for coming up with the idea of a 76 mile loop around Philadelphia, and bringing it into existence. Training for this has broken me out of my habitual running spots and brought me to areas of Philly I wouldn't have otherwise seen. Read more about Gagz here and follow his adventures on instagram @bdg123. Absolute Legend!
