Petrus: I am from Arcahaie, Haiti, a town on the western coast of the island. I started running in 2009 when a friend encouraged me to, and now I run every day. I am a full-time runner, running up to 80k a week, and my dream is to become an international champion. I want to Run Across Haiti to show everyone the importance of running, and hopefully inspire others to start running too.
Dessource: I was born in Gros Morne, a town in the Mountains on the northern side of the island, but now live in Arcahaie. I started running in 2016 when Petrus was unable to enter a race, and I was recommended to take his place. I ended up winning that race, and have been hooked on running ever since. My dream for running is to be like Petrus, who wins races to bring in an income. I would like to compete and earn an income doing what I love to do. I want to Run Across Haiti because although it will be difficult, I want to challenge myself.
Timé: I am from Saut Dlo, but now live in Arcahaie. I have been running for many years, after I entered a competition on a whim to compete for the prize. My dream is to become like Petrus, so that I can travel through running. Aside from running, I like to spend my spare time farming in Saut Dlo with my father, where we grow beans and corn. I was inspired by the runners on the 2018 Run Across Haiti team, and I want to be a part of the challenge myself this year.
