❣Petals-4-Paws Nursery & Rescue's High Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic❣

P4P has ONE GOAL in mind for 2021 - high volume spay/neuter services!! It's undeniable that Rogue Valley is in desperate need, and Jackson County remains one of the few counties statewide without active feral cat TNR programs and/or high volume spay/neuter services to meet the tremendous needs of ferals, shelters and rescues. When P4P launched in Fall of 2018, we hosted meet-and-greets with several local rescue organizations to inquire how P4P could support its fellow Rescuers,  what  the greatest needs and what obstacles were rescue and shelters facing that P4P could lobby for - unanimously, all reported the need for additional local high volume spay/neuter services. Since then, the pandemic and the wildfires of 2020 have increased the urgency a full blown emergency! P4P is lobbying, writing grants, reaching out to local, statewide and national resources and networking in the community to make 6-10 monthly nonpublic spay/neuter clinics available for TNR ferals, strays, shelters and rescues. P4P has -2- permanent senior/special needs rescue dog intakes arriving Sun, 12/06/2020, and these will be the last intakes for 2020. P4P is halting all rescue intakes and dedicating our efforts fulltime to launching the 1st month of high volume spay/neuter clinics. We MUST meet the emergencies that the recent wildfires have created - throughout the burn zones in Phoenix, Talent, Medford and Eagle Point, and throughout the Rogue Valley, there are thousands of displaced ferals  kitties that need medical care, sterilization and/or relocation. NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT!! - Kitten season 2020 overwhelmed every local rescue and shelter, now we have kitties in hazardous burn zones fighting the Winter elements!! The feral cat population was overwhelming BEFORE the pandemic and wildfires, now it is desperate! Dedicated trappers cannot continue to save these kitties with no place to house them and no place to sterilize them, rescuers are driving statewide to access surgeries from other counties! Shelters and rescuers are waiting 3 months for lg (>40) and xl dogs to be sterilized! The most irresponsible thing a Rescuer can do is home an unaltered animal. The animals -the surrenederd pets, the strays, the ferals, the over-breeding  ALL are the responsibility of the humans that neglected them, the humans that procreated them, the humans that surrendered them, the humans that bred them! We have caused this tremendous over population, and only we can help save them and prevent future populations! We MUST have the Public's help to bring these high volume spay/neuter clinics to fruition - daily, I am working, writing grant letters, reaching out to funding sources and possible benefactors. We are so very close to making this a reality. When once we were facing a goal of $30,000, we are now to close and have a goal of $7,000  $10,000, and a HOPE to host the 1st clinic after the New Year!!
