THE BACK STORY:
In early 2016 Project Left Behind (PLB) a US non-profit, was made aware of a small private home for disadvantaged and orphanaed children in need of funding located in Urubamba, Peru. The home was struggling to make ends meet. PLB set off to learn more and what they found was a woman named Isabel full of love who treated these children as her own. An educator herself, Isabel believed whole-heartedly in a child’s right to an education. Therefore she began to house and educate children who were otherwise not attending school. PLB saw first hand that Isabel’s work was worthy and needing of on-going support so it was decided that Project Left Behind would take it on!
TODAY:
Our goals is to raise $10,000 before we leave on April 30th to volunteer at the Peruvian children's home!
This would put a solid dent in the $33,000 yearly budget PLB has commited to. The budget provides the "village" needed to raise and take care of the children. It includes a psychologist, teacher, school tutor, cook, cleaner, accountant and director. The budget also covers two higher education scholorships and funding to finish a new study room. Lastly it provides the household needs like toiletries and utilities. With these necessities covered, Isabel can focus on that love she is so good at giving to the children!
100% of ALL donations go directly to the children's home because our forprofit partner, NuttZo, covers all overhead for PLB.
