Every penny you donate goes directly to in-situ conservation programs in rhinoceros habitat, such as the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, International Rhino Foundation, and Action For Cheetahs in Kenya. These organizations are fighting the battle to help our endangered wildlife by working with local communities to find real life solutions.
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has been in operation for 35 years, and, in collaboration with other organizations, provides protected refuge for nearly 15% of Kenya’s rhinoceros population, along with Grevy’s zebra, painted dogs, and many other species. They provide support, education and empowerment for local communities to help strengthen the ties between the people and their animal neighbors.
Since 1989, the International Rhino Foundation has been working to eliminate poaching in Zimbabwe. Much like Lewa, they have partnered with their communities to ensure these animals have the best chance for survival. They have since expanded to include programs in Indonesia and India.
For nearly 20 years, Action for Cheetahs in Kenya has been conducting research into declining cheetah populations. They have partnered with the Kenya Wildlife Service to find ways to manage natural resources for wildlife and human livelihoods. They too work closely with their community, often promoting people from the region into leading roles.
